Lines of scripture

Random thought: It is easier to make our theology, perception and practice based on two or three lines in scripture. Much more difficult to base it on lines running through scripture.

when you have so many " tribes" du jour jotting down anything they can to inspire spirituality in a rather a horrid life in a filthy part of the world, 2000 or so years ago it hardly seems reasonable to find a connection at all , considering all that bible jargon was comprised 1500 years AFTER the death of Christ at the first ecumenical council in Constantinople. form the Hebrew and Greek translations which omitted MANY books to create a patriarchal society to control the mass’s[ no pun intended] .
talk about TO MANY COOKS SPOILING THE BROTH . all one has to do is look at the bible and see it has nothing to do with god [ poor god . he gets SUCH a bum rap doesn't he????] but EVERYTHING to do with replicating the thoughts of spiritual nomads on a power trip . [just look at the book of revelations ]. the goody two shoed pooh-bahs of that era even ELEIMINTED a LOT of those rambling drugged out nutcases [ they did a LOT of HASH in those days . honest.. …
anyway. I think your perspective is quiet “ romantic”. but then again what are you SEARCHING FOR anyway??
continuity on hearsay??
thanks for sharing.

It does "hardly seem reasonable" to find consistent threads running through scripture, doesn't it. Yet surely here is to be found the underpinning truths, given the time span over which scripture was written. In many voices truth is found. Perhaps something more solid than just listening to myself, or to the voices of today.
Thanks for your response.
